Sierra 7 is an action game that was developed by SHD Games for mobile. It is a tactical on-rails first-person shooter game featuring a unique minimalist art style. It's based on and is an overhaul of sorts of the browser-based Flash game that was released back in 2011.

Similar to other tactical shooters for mobile devices, such as Mission Counter Attack or Modern Combat 5, Sierra 7 thrusts players into fast-paced and intense gunfights against groups of enemies. The game is more single-player focused, though, and comes with a rather lengthy 12-hour campaign to play through.

What is Sierra 7 about?

In Sierra 7, you are a tactical operator that gets caught in the middle of a war. Engage in fast-paced gunfights against militia leaders and soldiers as you battle your way through the game's 12-hour single-player campaign. Being an on-rails shooter, your movements are limited. As such, you have to rely on your quick reflexes and shooting to survive.

There are various guns available in Sierra 7 to customize your character with and adjust to your play style. In addition, you can also equip different types of gear that provide you with bonuses. Mission levels are randomized so each playthrough will feel and play out a little differently. While sniper challenges and mini-games offer some variety to your gameplay.

Sierra 7 is a free and ad-supported game, and as such, you should expect a fair amount of advertisements to pop up throughout your gameplay. Also, do note that some aspects are locked behind a paywall, which, unfortunately, can hinder progress at certain points in the game—expected for these types of releases, but is a bit heavy-handed nonetheless.

Sierra 7 is a fun and faithful reimagining of the classic browser flash game all those years ago. It admirably replicates the experience that the original had, while the on-rails game mechanic is well suited for mobile gameplay. Despite the game's monetization scheme coming off as too strong at times, it's still worth checking out for the sake of nostalgia alone.
